About Unifi Protocol

Unifi Protocol is a community founded organization, with the drive, passion, fortitude, and ability to be disruptive in the most disruptive industry of our lifetimes. We believe blockchain technology has a crypto problem, so we’re looking to flip the table on the industry and build a blockchain without creating a native currency.

The team behind Unifi Protocol has been developing sustainable blockchain solutions since 2018. Our experience has made us experts in re-thinking what a blockchain should be. Join us as we tear down core tenets of why gas tokens or network subsidies need to be inflationary currencies. It’s time for a blockchain revolution.

About HyperCycle

HyperCycle is a novel blockchain framework that will leverage TODA/IP ledgerless protocol, SingularityNET’s Proof of Reputation, and Cardano’s EUTxO model and Hydra sidechain framework.

Unifi Protocol - Stability Challenge (2)
Cryptocurrency logo

1st Place: $500 USDC
2nd Place: $250 USDC

Challenge: If blockchain technology didn’t need to be monetized, what would you build?

What Stability wants you to answer is, what can blockchain do? As of now, the dominant use cases are the trading and speculation of cryptocurrencies. As a developer, content creator, or someone who signed up to do this for fun, what would you build if cryptocurrency was not the focus? What if the use of blockchain technology is the goal?

Stability believes blockchain has a crypto problem, with token volatility and inflation creating roadblocks to adoption. Imagine a blockchain where transaction fees are paid in a stablecoin, where users are not incentivized to hoard gas tokens but rather spend them for interacting with developer applications.

That is what Stability is building, and the backdrop for your challenge.

In the spirit of Stability, we are looking for applications that serve as a use case for blockchain outside of cryptocurrency. Think of a public good, an artistic creation, a specialized database, or anything that could benefit from using the blockchain that does not focus on monetization. It’s wide open!

Marketability - The potential audience of your project, and if people will be willing to perform transactions to your project. Simply, is this a project that individuals or companies would use?

Engagement - The amount of transactions your potential audience will perform. As in, is your audience incentivized to keep coming back and engaging with your project?

Novelty / Originality - Did you just copy somebody’s Github? Don’t do that.
